Electrical and Gas Safety Checks – for Childcare Centres

EnergySafe Victoria states commercial kitchen equipment must be installed and certified according to Australian Standard AS/NZS 5601.1 Gas Installations Part 1.

There are a number of mandatory requirements for hose assemblies such as being as short as practicable, maximum operating pressure and temperature (depending on working temperature and certified as confirming with Australian Standard AS/NSZ Hose and Hose Assemblies.

Appliance connections and restraints must be installed depending on the setup of the hose assembly. Acceptable restraints must be installed too.

Pricing for switchboard upgrades depends on the number of circuits. A certificate of electrical safety will be issued after the work’s been completed. Detailed reports are available within a day of the job, if no serious issues have been found.

The Details - Inclusions And Exclusions

For gas checks, applicable items listed in EnergySafe’s checklist will be checked and serviced to Australian Standard AS/NZS 5601.1:2013.

A certificate of gas safety will be supplied at the completion of every job.

Certificate of Electrical Safety and Official VBA Certificate of Compliance supplied at completion. Electrical checks are completed to AS/NZS 3000 Wiring Rules.

Commercial jobs need to be paid for at the time of booking.
